Toastmasters International

joined the Toasters Toastmasters Club on Thursday, September 13th after my previous week's visit.
Meeting at 7 AM (yeah, AM), I figure it won't kill me once a week.  Toasters meet every Thursday
morning unless it's a holiday or bad weather day as determined by Lubbock Independent School District.

My dues were $56, part of which was a one-time payment ($20 to join Toastmasters), and I'm "good"
for 6 months.  With the Caprock AMBUCS club wanting me to be a future president, I wanted to prepare
by polishing my public speaking skills and each Thursday at 7 AM (yeah, AM) is the plan.

Toastmasters International is 280,000 strong with 13,500 clubs in 116 countries according to the website.

The dues are $36 every six months in addition to the local chapter's dues.

As of July, 2017, I'm a member in five: Lubbock Professional Club, What Would Jesus Say (WWJS),
Downtown Toastmasters, South Plains Toastmasters and still Toasters.
I was the Area 62 Area Director in 2017, having five clubs to which I'm responsible.

And again:

Ribbons are now
and I'll add to
this page when
I win one.
     Award #1 - 9/20/2012
In May of 2013, I gave my 10th speech earning the above award , a pin and a name tag.
