Texas Tech University's track facility is the R.P. Fuller Track at the Bob Fuller Athletic Complex.  This track uses a Daktronics electronic scoreboard with a display matrix of 80x112 lights.  The software and hardware were upgraded in May 2009 and the software version is the Venus 7000 software controller.  Here are a couple of pictures of the display from the operator position in the pressbox.  I got this gig because of the association with Texas Tech football and because I know scoreboards.  This is the hosting of the 3A & 5A school classifications for Region 1 (of four regions in Texas), usually in May.  In 2017, Lubbock Independent School District started hosting the Regional high school track meet and I was squeezed out of a nice 3-day job.

These gals, Amy Harrison (in the foreground) enter race and field results into the HyTech system, I pull the information and display it on the matrix board.  It can be an intense but fun two days of work.
